Set up your AI assistant
Install SumUp skills and connect MCP tools in Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini CLI, Kiro, VS Code, and Claude Desktop.
Set up your assistant to build SumUp integrations and work with your merchant account. Choose your assistant below, install the available package, and sign in with SumUp to use account tools.
The SumUp plugin(Opens in a new tab) bundles two capabilities:
- Agent Skills provide guidance for implementing, testing, upgrading, and debugging payment integrations. Skills work without connecting a SumUp account.
- MCP tools let your assistant call SumUp APIs and read documentation resources. The hosted server at
https://mcp.sumup.com/mcpuses OAuth: sign in with SumUp through your client when prompted.
If you install a plugin, extension, or power that configures MCP, use its bundled connection. The direct MCP instructions are an alternative for clients without plugins or when you only need account tools. For API-key authentication or stdio-only clients, see local MCP setup.
